We are activists that live at a village called Randublatung in Central Java. This area was once lush forest with huge trees and wild animals. Rapid development has meant that much of the natural environment has been destroyed. We try to develop initiatives that will both benefit the local community and protect the local environment.

activities In 2002, Rapala designed a park that would protect the many species of Jati trees that are unique to this area. In 2003, the project recieved some government funding and now we are in the process of developing the park, including building an information center and planting trees. We organise camps with local high school students so we can learn about bio diversity and work together to improve the environment.
