We are a group of nature-loving people who live at Mount Bromo in East Java. We believe in the connections between art, nature, and spirituality that exist in all human beings.
We teach and learn about nature with an emphasis on understanding rather than aquiring knowledge.

activities Mount Bromo is a major tourist area in Java. Every year, thousands of tourists come to look at the volcano, ride horses, and take pictures. They leave a lot of rubbish and often don't make an effort to understand the spiritual significance of this environment to the people who live here. ARTSPALA organises clean up days throught the year. We are not only trying to preserve this mountain that is special to us, but we are trying to educate people about the impact of tourism on our home.
